A savoury twist on the most classic of cocktails.
Put the ratios of gin and vermouth that you prefer into a mixing glass. I like 60ml of gin and 15ml of dry vermouth.
Add half a teaspoon of MSG and stir well. It's important to stir while the ingredients are still at room temperature.
Add a teaspoon of olive brine.
Add lots of ice and stir until well-chilled and well-diluted; perhaps 60 seconds or so.
Strain into a glass, either “up” (without ice) or over more ice.
